Tennessee Titans Quarterback Cam Ward On What Drives Him

This tends to be an issue for people who try to focus and work on their regular lives. There is an aspect that is often missing. Even when there is an element of envy, people tend not to consider how difficult it could be to be in the NFL. For Cam Ward, this is not much of a consideration. He is unique in terms of his approach, as shared on X by Greg Berge to Ward: “I grew up watching my dad wake up at 4:30 for a job he didn’t like.”

It is ultimately this difference that separates the true professionals from everyone else. Of course, there are days in which one does not wish to go to work and does not feel like doing what needs to be done; there is, however, the ongoing need to be at one’s best.

This only comes through repetition.

One is only truly tested during the days in which the stars do not line up; one ‘s department or area of expertise may be looming over one’s shoulder. This tends to be true, of course, on days in which the kids were up all night, someone cut one off in traffic, etc.

It is, however, on these days that one must be the strongest.
Ward realizes what is required to achieve at a high level regardless of the profession. The fact that he’s talented enough to be a potential starting quarterback in the NFL and the fact that he realizes this concept speaks volumes.
