Munetaka Murakami hits a home run in his fifth consecutive game, a 451-foot homer for his 10th of the year on April 22, 2026. The Japanese superstar, who signed a free agent contract to come to the Windy City during the offseason, is proving right away that he’s having no problem making the transition to Major League Baseball.
Murakami’s blast puts him second in MLB, just behind the Houston Astros’ Yordan Alvarez (11 through April 22). He and the White Sox (9-15) will look to avenge their 11-7 loss against Arizona (14-10) when the two teams meet again on Thursday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1:40 local time in Phoenix.
