On November 15, 2015, Holly Holm defeated UFC Champion Ronda Rousey in an upset in Melbourne, Australia. The event is considered one of the biggest upsets in sports history and saw Holm capture the women’s bantamweight championship.
Holm would retain the title in a rematch, which led to Rosey eventually retiring from UFC. Rowdy Ronda spent time performing with World Wrestling Entertainment, but left the combat sports promotion in October 2023. She has been very critical of WWE since stepping away, claiming that she was sexually harassed and that the company didn’t book her correctly.
