Led by post-season Superman, David Friese, the St. Louis Cardinals pulled off one of the most exciting World Series wins ever

On October 28, 2011, the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game 7 at Busch Stadium to win the franchise’s 11th world title. The MVP of the World Series was Cardinals’ third baseman David Freese, who was a St. Louis native.
Friese’s 2011 heroics began in the NLCS and went all the way through the final game of the season. He is recognized as an icon in the history of one of Major League Baseball’s most celebrated franchises, due to this amazing October achievement.
