‘The Kid’ proves that he’s an awesome All-Star in 1992, as he leads the American League to a victory and captures the game’s MVP Award

On July 14th, 1992, Seattle Mariners outfielder Ken Griffey, Jr took home the MVP Award for the 63rd Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Deservedly so, as he went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, two RBIs, and two runs scored.
That year’s Mid-Summer Classic was held at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, the home of the San Diego Padres of the National League. Regardless, the American League defeated the National League in an old-fashioned shootout, 13–6.
