Lions Running Back Jahmyr Gibbs Could Be the Driving Force For The Team’s Postseason Push

The Detroit Lions have looked nearly unstoppable this season, on their way to capturing the number-one seed in the NFC playoff bracket. Under fourth-year Coach Dan Campbell, the team has risen among the elite in the NFL and is the favorite to emerge as the Conference representative in the Super Bowl.

While the team has a great mix of talent, it’s often their offense that gets most of the attention. Quarterback Jared Goff has been reborn as one of the NFL’s best passers and a top-notch leader. Their receiving corps – led by explosive playmakers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams and steady tight end Sam LaPorta – have had plenty of trips to the end zone this season.

However, it’s been young running back Jahmyr Gibbs who has been the fuel to the team’s high-octane attack. While he split much of his playing time in the backfield with talented teammate David Montgomery, the former Alabama tailback put the pedal to the metal as the season came to a close.
